SAUER REOPENS FLAGSHIP ON GARCIA D’ÁVILA WITH INNOVATIVE DESIGN PROJECT
With over eight decades since its foundation, SAUER reopens its store on December 20, 2021, on Rua Garcia D'Ávila in Ipanema.
Created by Estúdio Tupi, the architectural project features contemporary elements that evoke the brand's history. The façade, made of green marble and concrete, reaffirms the Brazilian identity of the jewelry store and recalls the discovery of the first Brazilian emerald by its founder, Frenchman Jules Sauer, in 1963. Pink and green marble walls and panels create an atmosphere of immersion in nature and in world of gemstones, reproducing the visual identity of the brand's jewelry boxes.
Icons from SAUER’s collections are showcased as works of art in displays shaped like arches, illuminated by tubular structures of brushed golden steel, echoing one of the brand’s renowned creations, the Vera necklace. The piece bosts a 29.44-carat emerald, extracted for the first time from SAUER’s historic museum collection.
